The African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Representatives candidate for the Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency, High Chief Benjamin Chimaobi Eze, has declared that the era of electoral rigging, political intimidation, and writing fake election results behind closed doors in Enugu State is permanently over.

Addressing his campaign council, during the weekend, at Obollo-Afor High Chief Eze reassured his constituents that the power to choose leaders now rests firmly with the electorate through the ballot box.

He vowed to stand as a formidable bulwark against any attempt to compromise the integrity of the upcoming general elections.

"Those dark days of political manipulation are gone forever, we are in a new era. Nobody can write fake results in any election where I am involved. I urge our people not to be discouraged by past irregularities, but to have absolute faith in the power of their votes."

Reviewing the recently concluded local government council elections conducted by the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), the ADC candidate delivered a blistering critique of the exercise, characterizing it as a complete breakdown of democratic principles.

Eze asserted that the widespread boycott of the local polls by major opposition parties underscored a total erosion of public trust in the state electoral body's impartiality.

Outlining his legislative vision for Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency, the ADC candidate committed to advocating for systemic reforms at the National Assembly. His priorities include strengthening national electoral integrity, guaranteeing genuine administrative autonomy for local governments, and checking executive overreach.

High Chief Eze urged the electorate to reject money driven politics and the lure of temporary financial handouts, calling on voters to leverage their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to install visionary, grassroots oriented leadership.

"The politics of stomach infrastructure and temporary handouts has only sustained poverty and infrastructural decay. Our people deserve bold, compassionate representatives who prioritize human capital development, quality education, job creation, and accountable governance. With your mandate, we will restore integrity and bring high impact representation to Igbo-Eze North and Udenu," he said.
