4th Prof. Nnamchi Students ICT Training Kicks Off in Enugu
The initiative, which started in 2023, was designed by Prof. Nnamchi to expose students in his constituency to modern technological knowledge
The 4th edition of Hon. Professor Paul Sunday Nnamchi’s annual ICT training programme for secondary school students in Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency begins on Monday, August 11, 2026.
The programme, tagged Prof. Paul Nnamchi TechHub and Youth Innovation (PPNTAYI), is designed to equip young people with practical computer and digital skills while inspiring creativity, innovation, confidence and self reliance in an increasingly technology driven world.
According to the Coordinator, Engr. Daniel Nwachukwu, the training will run from August 11 to September 6, 2026. It is open to all interested students from communities within Enugu East and Isi-Uzo Local Government Areas.
The training will hold Monday to Saturday every week simultaneously at the following designated centres:
1. St. Theresa Parish, Abakpa Nike, Enugu
2. St. Theresa Parish, Ugbo-Odogwu, Trans- Ekulu Enugu
3. Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, Emene
4. Queen of the Rosary, Ogwuagor
The annual programme reflects Hon. Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi’s unique commitment to investing in the future of young people through education, innovation, and digital literacy.
The initiative, which started in 2023, was designed by Prof. Nnamchi to expose students in his constituency to modern technological knowledge and to nurture a generation of skilled, innovative, and globally competitive leaders.
The programme commenced with 300 trainees in 2023 and has grown phenomenally. Last year’s participants were almost 2,000. The 2025 edition culminated in a colourful graduation ceremony featuring cultural displays, presentations and awards for outstanding participants.
Prof. Nnamchi also hosted a special reception for resource persons a day after the conclusion of the 2025 exercise, during which he rewarded them with laptops in appreciation of their commitment to the programme.
