The All Progressives Congress (ADC), has disclosed a target of two-thirds population of Enugu State is it's membership mobilisation, revalidation and registration exercise.

The part made the disclosure, on Thursday, when it flagged-off the exercise in Enugu.

The party said that the registration is a game changer that will not only alter the political narrative in Enugu state, but in the entire Nigeria.

Chairman of the Enugu State Membership Mobilisation, revalidation and registration committee, Barrister Sunday Okereke stated that the party has first started with mobilisation of members, and will do whatever it can to make ensure that the people get to the consciousness of the party politics in Nigeria.

He disclosed that there are new cards with codes which supercedes and invalidates previous membership cards.

"So, we will revalidate those that are already registered by issuing them new cards, then we register new members and bring them to the wards.

"We will use NIN (National Identification Number) for the registration and we advise members to be strict with the exercise. Let's not sell our rights to vote which is sacrosanct," Okereke advised.

One of the stakeholders of the party and former Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Dr. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu stated that the masses were ready to change the wrong ways things are done in Nigeria.

"The people are tired and we want to change the narrative, if not just for us but for the generations yet unborn, because we can't continue like this. The place to be is in the ADC and the public are enjoined to go and register in their various wards and for those in the municipality, the online registration takes place in less than two minutes and it's done because it's seamless," Ezeugwu said.

He disclosed that the party membership cards are already available in the 260 ward of Enugu state with the inauguration of membership and registration committee.

"Our hope and target is to get two-thirds membership of the people in Enugu state as members of the ADC," Ezeugwu said

Senator Gil Nnaji who represented Enugu East Senatorial district, said that they were mobilising the party faithful to get them registered in mass, noting that people have already started registering in booklets which will be transferred into the new registers.
