APC Inaugurates New Enugu SWC, Reaffirms Commitment to Party Unity and Future Success

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State recently recorded a major milestone with the formal swearing-in of its newly elected State Working Committee (SWC), led by the State Party Chairman, Dr. Sir Martin Chukwunweike, popularly known as Ozoigbondu.
The event, which attracted party faithful, stakeholders, and dignitaries from across the state, was described as a significant step towards strengthening the party’s internal structure and consolidating its political direction ahead of future engagements.
The inauguration report was contained in a statement released by the Publicity secretary of the party, Uchenna Obute on Wednesday.
The ceremony, according to the statement, began on a solemn and spiritual note with prayers led by the Bishop of Awgu/Aninri Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Dr. Benson Ndubuisi Chukwunweike.
In his prayers, the cleric sought divine guidance, wisdom, and unity for the new leadership, while also blessing the state party secretariat and members of the newly elected executive committee.
Following the prayer session, the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Hon. Uche Obute (JP), conducted the formal roll call and introduction of members of the State Working Committee, highlighting what party leaders described as the diversity, experience, and strategic composition of the new team.
Addressing the gathering, the State Party Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, congratulated the newly elected officials on their emergence, describing their appointment as both a privilege and a call to greater responsibility.
He urged them to be diligent, disciplined, and committed in the discharge of their duties, stressing that leadership requires sacrifice, integrity, and steadfast dedication.
Chukwunweike also said the confidence reposed in them by Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah should inspire them to deliver in their various roles.
“To whom much is given, much is expected,” he said, charging the committee members to justify the trust placed in them through effective political engagement and measurable results.
The party chairman further called for total loyalty to the APC and the leadership of the state, noting that unity remained essential to political success.
In a strongly worded declaration, he maintained that the return of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to the Lion Building was certain, insisting that “there is no vacancy” in the seat of power.
The declaration drew loud applause and approval from party supporters at the event.
The formal swearing-in was conducted by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, Hon. Barr. Osinachi Nnajieze, who administered the oath of office on the newly elected executives, signifying their official assumption of duty and commitment to uphold the party’s constitution with integrity.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated committee, the State Secretary of the party, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie, expressed appreciation to Governor Mbah for what he described as his continued support, leadership, and contributions to the growth of the APC in Enugu State.
He said the committee remained grateful for the governor’s role in strengthening the party and pledged unalloyed loyalty and unwavering support to his mandate.
Nnadozie assured party members that the new executive would work collaboratively to not only meet expectations but exceed them, while pursuing the party’s objectives and sustaining its political advancement in the state.
The ceremony ended on a note of unity, renewed determination, and optimism, with party members expressing confidence in the ability of the new leadership to reposition the APC for greater success in Enugu State.
