Are you single?' - BB Naija star, Adekunle asks 2Baba ex-wife, Annie

A stage melodrama between Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle Olopade, known simply as Adekunle asking 2Baba's former wife, Annie Macaulay, during a stage appearance at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos has sparked debates online.

In the video, Adekunle asked rehotric question about Annie's relationship which left spectators wondering if it was a stage drama or an embarrassing question.

In the video that surfaced on social media, Adekunle turned to Annie while they were both about to present an award and asked, “Just before we present the award, I just wanted to find out, are you single?”

Annie responded with laughter and said, “He is a fine young man though, I’m not going to lie.”

Adekunle quickly added that he did not want to cause trouble, saying, “I don’t want a situation where someone runs up and slaps me off stage.”

Annie reassured him, replying, “You are safe.”

The stage interaction between Adekunle and Annie has attracted a lot of backlash with many viewers questioning the reality star’ intentions.

One user while reacting to the video on social media said: “Which kind talk be that..Adekunle too dey yarn..who send you.”

Annie and 2Baba were married in 2012 and have two daughters together. In January 2025, the singer announced that their marriage had ended and confirmed that divorce proceedings were underway.
