C.C, the only Man in my 55 years existence - Nonye Soludo
Since Uche Ekwunife parades herself as a Catholic convert, I openly invite her for both of us to take an oath of faithfulness and chastity
As the Anambra State political upheaval gets messier, Governor Chukwuma Soludo's wife, Nonye has deflated Uche Ekwunife's allegation she had relationships with other men.
Both Governor Soludo, the wife and the All Progressives Congress, APC, deputy governorship candidate, Ekwunife have in the recent time engaged in alleged extramarital Cross fires prelude to the November 8 governorship election.
The wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has thrown down a
Nonye in a daring challenge to Ekwunife's allegation against her called on both of them to swear an oath of purity before the Virgin Mary and further proposed that their children undergo DNA tests to end all controversies.
Ekwunife alleged that Mrs. Soludo maintained a close relationship and political ties with ex-Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju.
But in a press statement, Mrs. Soludo dismissed the Ekwunife’s allegations as fabricated stories and accused her of dragging innocent children into political hostilities.
She went on to describe Ekwunife’s actions as damaging and warned that unless the senator retracts her statements and offers a public apology within 72 hours, legal proceedings would be initiated against her.
According to her, a public swearing ceremony would provide clarity on their moral integrity.
“Since Uche Ekwunife parades herself as a Catholic convert, I openly invite her for both of us to take an oath of faithfulness and chastity inside any cathedral, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and the Holy Bible.
“I will swear (with my children) that in my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man—Chukwuma Soludo. On your part, you should also swear (with your children or your political ambitions) that since you got married, you have never cheated on your husband,” she said.
She further escalated the matter, suggesting medical verification: “I challenge you, Uche Ekwunife, to subject all our children to DNA analysis at three renowned hospitals in London. I will cover every cost, including the travel expenses for you and your household.”
Mrs. Soludo added that if it was proven beyond doubt that all of Ekwunife’s children were indeed fathered by her husband, she would not only commend her but also reward her with a monetary gift.
Portraying herself as a reserved woman with strong moral discipline, the governor’s wife emphasized her Christian values and modest upbringing.
“I married my husband as a virgin, and for the past 33 years of marriage, my loyalty to him has remained absolute and will remain so for the rest of my life,” she declared firmly.
