Chukwunwike, Anosike emerge Enugu, Anambra APC chairmen, respectively
Both Chukwunwike, Anosike and others were elected via a peaceful affirmation voice vote election

The former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu state, Dr Martin Chukwunwike, has been elected as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
This is as the former Senator for Anambra North Senatorial District, Emmanuel Anosike was on also elected the Chairman of the APC in Anambra state.
Chukwunwike and 27 others emerged as the State Executive Council of the APC during the state Congress of the party held in Michael Okpara square Enugu, on Tuesday.
Both Chukwunwike, Anosike and others were elected via a peaceful affirmation voice vote election.
Accepting the appointment, Chukwunwike congratulated the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, whom he said stood by the party throughout the Congresses process.
Chukwunwike noted that Mbah saw the future when he chose to move the state to the national ruling political party, the APC and linked the state to the Nigeria center.
He pleaded loyalty to the Governor Mbah, saying "I can assure you that this team will deliver everything to ensure that 2027 is assured. We will ensure that votes don't diminish in Enugu state."
Earlier, the outgone caretaker chairman of the party in the state, Dr. Ben Nwoye noted that the state Congress completes the journey that started with ward Congresses.
"Today we are handing over a united APC, the splinter groups were all united. We chose unity over personal ambition. It was made possible by the wisdom of Governor Peter Mbah who provided the enablement," Nwoye said.
Nwoye also stated that the e-registration exercise in the state recorded great success.
In a related development, the former Senator , Anambra North District Chief Emmanuel Obiajulu Anosike was on Tuesday elected the Chairman of Anambra state chapter of the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
Anosike who emerged through a consensus also has as his Vice Chairman Chief J.C Okeke while Chief Obi Okpala emerged as the Secretary of the party .
Declaring the outcome of the state Congress , the Chairman Anambra Congress Committee and Returning Officer of the election Real Admiral William Kayode (rtd ) explained that in line with Article 20 and 14 of the Constitution of the APC which stipulates the use of consensus in the election of it's officers, Sen Emma Anosike and other elected members of his Executive Committee are duly elected .
"I Real Admiral William Kayode as the Chairman of the Congress Committee and Returning Officer for Anambra state chapter of the APC here by affirm that the Congress was free , fair and credible and in fulfilment of the relevant sections of the party Constitution as stipulated in Article 20 and 14 of our party Constitution, Sen Emma Anosike is hereby duly elected and returned"
Speaking earlier the Chairman Congress Harmonization Committee and Director General South East Governors Forum Sen Uche Ekwunife noted the essence of basketing of offices in this Congress is to elect credible members who have the capacity to drive the party to it's winning ways adding that gone are those days when party executive officers are just there without competent persons to man them .
"We invited all the stakeholders of the party at the ward and local government levels and agreed on basketing with the constitutional provisions of consensus to elect party members who have the capacity and also committed to the growth and progress of the party and we found Sen. Emma Anosike and his executive members fir and proper to man the Affairs of the party," she said.
Earlier also the Chief Basil Ejidike led executive of the party was dissolved through a motion moved by Chief Olisa Metuh and was seconded by Dr Onuora Okonkwo which led to a voice vote puting an end to that executive.
In his acceptance speech Sen Anosike described his election as a call to serve and to uplift the party adding that all members would be carried along in all the affairs of the party.
"We shall make sure that all members would be carried along and I wish to guarantee all party faithfuls that it is a new dawn for the party in the state and I thank the Governor General Sen Hope Uzodimma the Governor of Imo state who has been managing the party in the South East and we as a party also promise to deliver His Excellency President Ahmed Bola Tinubu come 2027 general elections " he noted .
In his valedictory speech the former Chairman of of the party , Chief Basil Ejidike who had been served for seven years urged party members to throw their weight behind the new Executive adding that the party would continue grow from strength to strengthen .
