FG Assessment Team Arrives Enugu For Inspection of Proposed Federal University of Agriculture Ako-Nike

The Federal Government assessment team from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, during the weekend, arrived in Enugu for the assessment of the proposed Federal University of Agriculture and Developmental Studies, Ako-Nike.

The University is project being championed for the member representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Prof. Paul Nnamchi.

The delegation arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, on Sunday, where it received a rousing welcome from constituents and stakeholders from Enugu East and Isi-Uzo.

The reception, which was marked by music, excitement and jubilation, reflected the significance attached to the proposed institution by residents of the constituency, who described the project as a potential catalyst for education, agriculture, employment and broader socio-economic development in the area.

The constituents also used the occasion to commend their representative, Prof. Nnamchi, for his efforts in attracting the proposed federal institution to the constituency.

Nnamchi was particularly praised for what supporters described as his sustained advocacy, determination and commitment to securing federal government intervention and development projects for the people of Enugu East and Isi-Uzo.

The arrival of the assessment team represents a significant step in the process of actualising the proposed university, as the delegation is expected to commence its assessment of the proposed site and other relevant requirements.
