Hausa/Fulani terrorists not Ndigbo main criminals in South East, MASSOB counters Soludo
MASSOB countered that Soludo was economical with the truth
The Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has faulted Governor Chukwuma Soludo's recent statement that 99.9 percent criminals apprehended in Anambra state were of Igbo origin.
Soludo had made the statement in an Igbo assembly in United States of America where he noted that Ndigbo were responsible for their own undoings.
But MASSOB has countered that Governor Soludo was economical with the truth and gave him a rundown of violent crime incidents in parts of the south east which most of perpetrators were of Hausa/Fulani origin.
The Biafra agitating group went ahead to tell Soludo that probably his quest for second term in office has beclouded his reason and urged him to trend softly.
In a statement by MASSOB's National Director of Information, Samuel Edeson, the group condemned Soludo's statement and reminded the governor of the violent crimes inflicted upon the Igbo people by Fulani terrorist herdsmen.
According to Edeson, "Numerous atrocities have been recorded across Igbo land, including the tragic events at the Gariki Cow Market in Lokpa Nta, Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, where over two hundred innocent Igbo lives were lost due to the actions of Hausa-Fulani terrorists.
"Other significant incidents, including the brutal killings of Igbo villagers and destruction of properties in Nimbo, Eha Amufu, Ugwogo Nike, all in Enugu State, and Obinze in Imo State, have similarly been carried out by these same aggressors.
"It is disheartening to witness Governor Soludo seemingly forgetting the continuous cycle of killings, kidnappings, rapes, and other crimes against Igbo people in Anambra State being perpetrated by the Hausa-Fulani.
"Igbo communities within Enugu City, areas such as the New Garki and New Artisan Markets have literally transformed into criminal havens by Hausa Fulani people where human parts are allegedly sold to ritualists.
"Similarly, in Ugwuoba Market and Amansea in Awka where Hausa Fulani are dominantly reside, there are grave concerns regarding ongoing illicit activities surrounding human parts."
MASSOB added that the true perpetrators of insecurity in Anambra State are often Governor Soludo's political militant groups such as Ndi Aka Odo and Ndi Udo Ga Chi and the Fulani terrorist herdsmen killing and destroying properties of Ndigbo .
He said that Fulanii terrorist herdsmen have been been terrorizing Anambra communities like Mgbakwu, Igboariam, Umueri, Umunze, Ogbunka and Amansea.
"Why is the governor covering up atrocities of these Fulani terrorist herdsmen in Igbo land and accusing the victims to be the terrorist. The framing of victims as perpetrators is a shameful tactic and must cease.
"MASSOB asserts that Governor Soludo’s misguided accusations against Ndigbo—while exonerating the Hausa-Fulani—betray an alarming intent to curry favor in an effort to secure support for his re-election campaign. Such actions, which threaten to destroy the fabric of unity among the Igbo people, are both reckless and unacceptable.
"We call on Governor Soludo to reconsider his stance and focus on the pressing issues that genuinely affect the lives of Ndi Igbo. Falsehoods and divisive rhetoric will not bring about the support he seeks, nor will they address the realities faced by our communities."
