Gov Charles Soludo of Anambra state has announced that after his two terms of eight years in office he would hand over to a successor from Anambra Central Senatorial District.
He equally stated that he has no opposition in the coming November 8th gubernatorial election noting that his opponents are not contesting election but are going about doing fund raising.
Soludo who spoke at the endorsement rally of Anambra Central Senatorial District at Awka Capital recalled that Anambra has a zoning arrangements that started from the regime of Mr Peter Obi from the central and handed over to Anambra North Senatorial District which produced Chief Willie Obiano who handed over to him from Anambra South Senatorial District.
"We all know that our state has a zoning or rotational arrangements that after every eight years the next governor would come from another zone and this started from Peter Obi to Obiano and now to me and the next governor after my eight years in office would come from Anambra Central Senatorial District "
"Anyone telling you that he is contesting election from Anambra South Senatorial District is only trying to deny Anambra Central their turn and the person would serve for twelve years "
"As a matter of fact no one is contesting election against me because all that they are doing is going to one governor or ministry telling them to give them money to contest election so it is all about fund raising and those they have been going to also know that they are only looking for money and not going for any election "
Soludo further stated that he is yet to constitute his Campaign Council adding that in the next two weeks he would announce members of his campaign council.
Speaking earlier the Deputy Gov Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim noted that the mandate given to himself and his boss is a manifestation of the endorsement of the people of Anambra state of their second term in office adding that they will not fail the state .
Similarly two leading support groups in the state; APGA Apostles led by Chief Anthony Nchekwube Dunga described the reelection of Gov Charles as a done deal adding that the rest of the fifteen candidate for the election are pretenders as according to him there is no vacancy at the Government House Awka.
The Convener of Soludo Ambassadors and MD CEO of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority ACTDA Ozo Ossy Onuko noted that;
"There is no gainsaying the fact that the administration of Gov Charles Soludo has indeed surpassed the achievements of past administrations in just less than four years in office"
"You can emerging what would happen when he completes his eight years in office what Anambra would look like and that is a show of great capacity " he said.
