JUST IN: Court sentences Akwa Okuko to 11 months imprisonment, to denounce Okeite

An Anambra State High Court has sentenced native doctor Chukwudozie Nwangwu also known as Akwa Okuko to eleven months imprisonment.
Nwangwu's sentence followed his plead of being guilty to three counts charges preferred on him by the Anambra state government.
In the verdict, the Judge ordered that the native doctor will become an Ambassador for youth re-orientation; will have is oba Shrine destroyed and will no longer practice Okeite and won’t administer such charms.
Upon completion of his imprisonment, he will make public statement denouncing Okeite and such charm practices. He will serve his imprisonment at Awka Correctional Center.
The three Charges Against Akwa Okuko which Pleaded guilty are for engaging in money ritual practices and alleged involvement in rituals linked to the acquisition of wealth.
Other charges are for preparing protective charms for criminals, accused of making talismans believed to be used by kidnappers and armed robbers; and aiding criminals, assisting them through charms and other means.
