SAD! Jungle Journalist Publisher, Ofoelue, Buried Amid Eulogies

Publisher of Jungle Journalist, Mazi Onukwube ThankGod Ofoelue, was laid to rest on Saturday in Arochukwu amid tributes from family, colleagues, and community leaders who described him as a fearless advocate for truth and accountability.
The funeral drew a large turnout of mourners who hailed Ofoelue as a media entrepreneur committed to public interest reporting and professional integrity.
Officiating the service, Enyinnaya Okoroafor, Resident Preacher and Arochukwu Branch President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, described death as a transition to eternity. He urged the bereaved family to find comfort in faith and called on mourners to reflect on moral values and spiritual preparedness.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mazi Okoronkwo Hyacinth Ofoelue remembered the deceased as exceptionally brilliant from childhood, saying his passing was a painful loss to the family and the wider community.
Dignitaries at the burial paid tribute to Ofoelue’s courage and consistency in journalism. Former Abia North senatorial aspirant Chief Emeka Charles Kanu and Sir Dave E. Imoko of Nzuko Aro Worldwide said he distinguished himself through integrity and commitment to the profession. They described his death as a significant loss to Arochukwu and society at large.
Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka added that Ofoelue used his platform to amplify issues affecting Ndigbo and remained steadfast in his convictions.
The ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives of Eze Dr. Eberechukwu Oji.
Ofoelue is survived by his family, colleagues, and a legacy of fearless journalism and media advocacy.
