Oji River Stakeholders pledge support for Gov Mbah's re-election

Oji River Council Area Political Stakeholders have said that their firm stand with Gov Peter Mbah's people-focussed administration and re-election remain unshaken and rock-solid.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their pledge during an expanded stakeholders meeting and review of the progress of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) E-Registration in the council area.

Speaking after their meeting at the council headquarters in Oji River Council Secretariat on Sunday, the Chairman, Oji River Local Government Council, Mr. Greg Anyaegbudike, said that the meeting was highly fruitful.

Anyaegbudike said that the meeting brought together party faithful and supporters from all the 20 political wards in the council area.

He said that the members of APC 9-man Caretaker Committee of the party in Oji River Local Government Area led by Hon. Paul Udebuluzor, were formally presented to the stakeholders and party faithful during the meeting.

According to him, we all stood together and united, shoulder to shoulder in support and solidarity with our Leader, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State.

"Our firm stand with Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in Oji River Local Government Area is not in doubt. Our commitment to his vision is rock-solid.

"We celebrated the governor's remarkable achievements, from revolutionising infrastructure, agriculture to transforming education, health, transportation and driving economic growth. 

"The clarity of purpose and bold decision-making that define Gov. Peter Mbah's administration have earned the admiration of every political ward in Enugu State, every voice and every heart. 

"Ndu (people of) Oji are proud to be part of this journey to progress," he said.

The chairman said that he used the avenue of the meeting to give an update on the progress of the ongoing APC Membership E-Registration in the council area.

He said, "We encouraged our party members to help spread and speed up support for the registration exercise. 

"I equally thanked those stakeholders of our party in Oji River Local Government Area who have contributed immensely in one way or the other in support of the ongoing registration."

Among notable dignitaries at the meeting included: representatives of Sen. Osita Ngwu, Enugu West Senator and Minority Whip of the Senate; Hon. Anayo Onwuegbu, Member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency; Hon. Pedro Ibe and Hon. Emeka Anikwere.

Others are Member representing Oji River State Constituency at Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Osita Eze; the former Chairman of Oji River Council Area, former Commissioner for Rural Development and Executive Secretary, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, Dr. Eric Oluedo;.

The rest included former Commissioner for Youth and Sports, former Chairman of Oji River Local Government Council and Executive Secretary, Enugu State Roads Fund, Hon. Barr. Manfred Nzekwe as well as other chairmen of the council area among many others.
