A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Ezenwa A. A. Onyirimba, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and declared continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah following the outcome of the party’s consensus arrangement for the Awgu/Oji-River/Aninri Federal Constituency seat.
Onyirimba, who aspired to contest for the House of Representatives seat under the platform of the APC, said the consensus process favoured the incumbent lawmaker, Anayo Onwuegbu, who is seeking a second term in office.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, Onyirimba described his support for Tinubu’s administration as “unwavering,” noting that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda continued to inspire confidence in the future of the country.
He also praised Governor Mbah for what he described as transformational leadership and people-oriented governance in Enugu State.
“I restate my total support for His Excellency, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose transformational leadership, developmental strides, and people-oriented governance have continued to reposition Enugu State for sustainable growth and prosperity,” he stated.
The APC stakeholder further reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, calling on members and supporters across the constituency to remain united and committed to strengthening the APC.
According to him, the period requires reconciliation, unity, and collective efforts towards advancing the democratic aspirations of the people.
Onyirimba congratulated Onwuegbu on his emergence as the party’s candidate for the Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency, saying his selection reflected the confidence reposed in him by party leaders and stakeholders.
He urged party faithful to rally behind the candidate in the interest of the party and the development of the constituency.
“Together, we can continue to build a stronger political structure that will guarantee progress, inclusiveness, and effective representation for our people,” he added.
The APC stalwart also expressed appreciation to his supporters, political associates, and members of the Ifediche Political Family for their encouragement and commitment to their shared political vision.
