Rep Nnamchi unifies APC, LP in Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency

In a bold strategic move towards the 2027 general elections, the House of Representatives member for Enugu East Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, Prof Paul Nnamchi has unified the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Labour Party, LP, members in the constituency.

Recall that Prof Nnamchi recently detected from the Labour Party to the APC, citing cracks in his former political party, particularly at the national level of the LP.

In a meeting he convened in Enugu, Nnamchi brought together LP leaders in his Constituency such as Chief Sunday Nome and Mr. Levi Okeke and the APC leaders such as the Enugu Financial Secretary of the APC, Chief Louis Agbo, among others where they agreed to harmonies structures and work for the victory of the APC in the 2027 elections.

The meetings were hosted separately for wards and local government’s leaders of both parties from Enugu East and Isi Uzo Local Government Areas at his residence in Enugu.

Agbo praised the Nnamchi's effectiveness in the legislature, noting that he has through his eloquent contributions in the in the plenary of the House of Representatives, elevated the constituency in the national politics.  

Chief Sunday Nome and Mr. Levi Okeke both leaders of Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress respectively from Enugu East Local Government also commended the parliamentarian for bringing the two groups together, promising that they would consequently begin joint membership drives to build APC as a party to beat in 2027.

Professor Nnamchi emphasized the meeting's purpose was to ensure a smooth merger without rancor urging them to work together and come up with strategies to mobilize members for the party, (APC) in their local governments.

He stated, that this initiative was his first step towards strengthening APC in the constituency and Enugu State as a whole adding that he was optimistic that APC would have a good showing in the state in 2027.
