Some schools in Enugu state ordered their students and pupils to stay at home for reasons of unknown eventuality that may be associated with the Pro-Nnamdi Kanu peaceful protest slated to take place in Abuja today.

Daily Insider can report that most roads in the Enugu Metropolis were deserted on Monday morning, while shops located in dense populated areas such a in Abakpa were under lock and key.

The popular T-junction area along Nike lake road with it's adjourning Ugwueke auto spare parts market and mechanic workshops were all deserted when monitored.

Meanwhile, a joint detachment of defence and security operatives has forcefully dispersed the Omoyele Sowore-led #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protesters in the Maitama Area of Abuja.

They were also heard cautioning the police against teargassing them just before sounds of gunshots were heard, and they scampered to safety.
