Second Agbaja summit kicks off in Enugu Wednesday

The second edition of Agbaja Summit, a cultural assembly and conviviality of the peoples in five local government areas in Enugu state, known as Agbaja people, opens on Wednesday at the Amadeo Event center Enugu.
The Agbaja people is a cluster of over 40 communities located in Udi, Ezeagu, Enugu north, Enugu south and Igbo Etiti local government areas in Enugu state, who share ancestry and kingship.

According to the Chairman and Secretary of the planning committee, Prof Chike Anibeze and Emeka Odenigwe, respectively, the 2025 edition will bestowed honours on key legends of the clan, the late Okwuloha of Agbaja, Chief Onyeama Onwusi; the former Governor of old Anambra State, Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh (CC Onoh); and the influential community leader, Chief Goddy Chinze.
There will also be cultural competition among the communities in dances, masquerades as well as other artistic presentations. Wednesday's event at the Amadeo event center will feature colloquium on education and skills development, with the erudite Monsignor (Prof) Obiora Ike as the keynote speaker.
The day two of the summit on Thursday will feature cultural carnival in masquerades, Music and cuisine at Nnamdi Anikwe stadium.
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State is the special guest of honour, while former Governor Sullivan Chime is the summit chairman, while the Royal fathers of the events are HRH Emirentus Justice Ken Ezeike and HRH Igwe Emmanuel Anichebe, the chairman of Ezeagu LGA Traditional Rulers council.
The Chief Host is the former Minister for Power and the Chairman Board of Trustees of Agbaja Leaders of Thought, Prof. Chinedu Nebo.
