Senator Ngwu Donates Security Gadgets to Mmaku Community, Reaffirms Commitment to Constituency Safety

The Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District, Osita Ngwu, has donated security equipment to Ifite Mmaku Community in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots security and protect lives and property within the constituency.

The presentation, which took place on May 19, 2026, was aimed at enhancing security architecture within Mgbidi/Mmaku Ward through improved surveillance and rapid response capabilities at the community level.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Senator Ngwu said the intervention reflected his commitment to fulfilling his legislative and representative responsibilities, stressing that ensuring the safety and security of constituents remains a top priority of his mandate.

He reaffirmed his support for community-driven security initiatives and assured residents of sustained engagement in addressing emerging security challenges across communities within Enugu West Senatorial District.

The lawmaker also commended Peter Mbah for what he described as deliberate and proactive efforts toward safeguarding lives and property across Enugu State. 

Senator Ngwu pledged continued collaboration with the state government to strengthen security measures and support initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and stability for residents.

Representatives of Mmaku Community, including Mr. Edmond Chukwuokorie, Dr. Daniel Okorie, and Dr. Magnus Ugwa, expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that the security gadgets would significantly improve safety and contribute to sustaining peace within the ward.

The community leaders described the donation as timely and impactful, emphasizing that improved local security infrastructure would enhance community vigilance and strengthen response mechanisms against threats.
