The South East Youths Stakeholders Forum (SEYSF) has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Senator David Umahi on their appointments to strategic positions in the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement by its Chairman, Mazi Dr. Ezenwa A. A. Onyirimba, the forum described the appointments as a demonstration of the confidence reposed in the four South-East leaders by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership.

The forum noted that Governor Mbah, Governor Uzodimma, Senator Okorocha and Senator Umahi had been assigned responsibilities as Secretary, Special Adviser, Deputy Director, South, and Deputy Director, Infrastructure, respectively.

According to the group, the appointments reflect the experience, competence and leadership capacity of the four leaders, while also underscoring the strategic importance of the South-East in the nation’s political process.

“On behalf of youths and youth stakeholders across the South-East, we sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing and finding our distinguished sons worthy of these important responsibilities,” the statement said.

SEYSF expressed confidence that the appointees would deploy their wealth of experience and leadership skills toward the success of the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign.

The forum also pledged its commitment to democratic participation, peaceful political engagement and constructive dialogue, while announcing its readiness to mobilise youths and other stakeholders across the South-East in support of President Tinubu’s 2027 presidential ambition.

It said the active participation of South-East youths in the political process would help advance the region’s interests, particularly in the areas of opportunities, political representation, infrastructure development, economic empowerment and stronger participation in national affairs.

The forum therefore wished the four leaders wisdom, strength and success in their respective assignments, describing their appointments as a positive development for the South-East.
