Sports Island Estate: D’ Ben & C Property Assures Buyers of Valid Allocation Documents
The change in the issuing authority does not invalidate the allocation documents previously issued by ESHDC or those currently issued by D’ Ben & C Property Ltd.
D’ Ben & C Property Ltd, a real estate development firm, has assured investors in Sports Island Estate, Enugu State, that the allocation documents issued to property buyers are genuine and intended to protect their interests.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Edeh Amobi Benneth, gave the assurance in a statement addressing concerns over the authenticity of allocation documents issued to investors.
Benneth explained that the company initially issued allocation documents from the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC) to buyers following a partnership between both parties for the development of the estate.
He disclosed that the partnership had since expired, prompting the company to begin issuing its own allocation documents after reaching an agreement with the original owners of the property.
According to him, the change in the issuing authority does not invalidate the allocation documents previously issued by ESHDC or those currently issued by D’ Ben & C Property Ltd.
“When we sold about 25 plots to the initial buyers, we issued them allocation documents from ESHDC because we were in partnership with the corporation for the development of the estate,” Benneth said.
He added that the company's current arrangement was designed to safeguard the interests of its property buyers.
The estate developer further stated that investors holding allocation documents issued by either ESHDC or D’ Ben & C Property Ltd were enjoying possession or occupancy of their properties without disturbance.
Benneth said the clarification was necessary to address what he described as misleading public narratives and to reassure investors about the documents issued by the company.
He thanked customers for their trust and patronage, reiterating the company's commitment to protecting the interests of its investors.
