Pardon my cliche.....The Apple does not fall far from the tree. His father might be the most corrupt political figure in Nigeria. Willing and able to throw money at anybody to buy them over. I will not mention names. But Bola Tinubu is good at purchasing your soul. Seyi Tinubu is getting better.
Allegedly, the City Boy movement under the leadership of Seyi Tinubu & the Apc government offered Anthony Joshua $20m to support the movement during a private meeting in London, To join the likes of E Money, Obi Cubana and Chief priest, But Anthony Joshua turned down the offer insisting that he will like to remain Neutral.
N.B: we do not confirm this to be true; we only report what the populace says.
However, what we can confirm is Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, was accused of paying £500 (approximately nine hundred thousand naira) each to Nigerians in the United Kingdom to cheer and rally support for the President during a state visit. The payment was reportedly around £500 per person to act as a supportive crowd during the President's visit to the UK in March 2026. Some sources indicated that while some received £500, others were allegedly given £200 the following day to continue the demonstration of support, including wearing All Progressives Congress (APC) shirts.
The action led to widespread online backlash, with critics calling it a waste of funds and a move to fabricate popular support, while others alleged it was a calculated attempt to gain "crowd-for-rent" support in London.
Based on reports from early 2026, the City Boy Movement, a political structure supporting President Bola Tinubu's 2027 reelection agenda, has been linked to significant expenditures aimed at youth engagement, empowerment, and mobilization across Nigeria. Reports indicate "billions of naira" have been pumped into the 2027 campaign and the City Boy Movement's activities. The movement has engaged in various empowerment initiatives. For instance, reports mentioned ₦40 million spent on 250 makeup kits for empowerment in Imo State and financial assistance to over 200 youths in Edo State.
Activist and businessman Cubana Chief priest, associated with the movement, was reported to have covered school fees for 300 students at Nekede Polytechnic, totaling over ₦100 million. President Tinubu spent billions of naira on influencers for his 2027 campaign. Likewise, his son recently donated billions to the City Boy Movement.
Reports indicate that Seyi Tinubu has provided funds for charity-branded support activities. In early 2026, social media influencer King Mitchy claimed to have received over ₦100 million from him for initiatives, which she initially described as charity work but later claimed was part of a publicity stunt. Earlier reporting highlighted a ₦7 billion London property purchase when he was 30 years old, which caused controversy over his wealth accumulation.
Seyi Tinubu has spearheaded philanthropic activities, such as partnering with the Noella Foundation for a substantial donation of food items and medication for flood victims in Maiduguri, which included 500 bags of rice, 1,000 cartons of spaghetti, and other food and medical supplies.
He has been spotted wearing luxury wristwatches, notably the Richard Mille RM 055, valued at approximately $550,000 (over ₦800 million). He reportedly owns multiple luxury timepieces, including different Richard Mille models, with some estimates placing the total value of his observed collection in the billions of naira.
Corruption is a preexisting problem in Nigeria. Made fantastically worse now by Seyi and his father.......AND IT IS NOT YET 2027.
