Mr. Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Sunday and swiftly moved into the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), on Sunday
The Speculation was that Atiku Abubakar is not ready to relenquish the ADC presidential ticket to Peter Obi, hence he left the party with Kwankwaso who is expected to become Obi's running mate in the NDC.
Obi said that internal party conflicts and other influences pushed him out of the ADC.
Recall that the supreme Court Judgment on the leadership crisis in ADC mandated that all parties in the court should return to the high court, a situation that does not grant conviction that anybody who becomes candidate in the ADC would have valid nomination.
