International Online Television channel, 90MinutesAfrica, will on Sunday 6:30pm Nigeria time and 1:30pm New York time, feature the leadership of the World Igbo Congress (WIC) on matters of South East, Nigeria and Africa interests.
The channel hosts prominent Nigeria-international based journalists, Rudolf Okonkwo and Chido. It had in the past featured intellectual Igbo personalities, discussing topical issues affecting the Nigeria polity.
The special edition is slated to feature the WIC chairman, Dr. Festus Okere and the Vice Chairman, Mr. Basil Onwukwe; who will discuss the topic "Revisiting Dr. M.I. Okpala’s Vision for the South East in a Nationalistic World: The Role of the Diaspora in Repositioning the Region.
WIC Vice Chairman, Onwukwe said it will be a compelling conversation on the future of the South East and the enduring vision of Dr. M.I. Okpala.
The World Igbo Congress (WIC), founded in 1994, is the umbrella organization representing the collective interests of Igbo people in the diaspora.
WIC serves as a voice for advocacy, cultural preservation, and development partnerships between Igbo communities abroad and those at home.
Through its annual conventions, policy dialogues, and grassroots initiatives, WIC has been instrumental in shaping the narrative of Igbo identity and engagement on the global stage.

Dr. Festus Okere, the current Chairman of WIC, is a physician and community leader with a long history of advocacy for diaspora empowerment, economic inclusion, and institutional capacity building for the South East.
Mr. Basil Onwukwe, Vice Chairman of WIC, is an entrepreneur and strategist committed to mobilizing Igbo talents across the globe toward socioeconomic transformation, with particular focus on financial and cooperative institutions.
