From Vision to Impact: Prof. Nnamchi Lifts Over 1500 Youths To ICT Experts

In an era where technology defines opportunity and progress, Over 1,500 students in Enugu East/Isi-Uzo federal constituency has benefited through the three editions of Intensive ICT Training Sponsored by the peoples Rep member.

1st Edition 

The journey began with the Inauguration of his Tech-Hub via Prof. Paul Nnamchi Tech-Hub & Youth innovation (PPNTAYI) launched in the year 2023 before being sworn in , this was at the time when digital skills were becoming increasingly critical, but access to quality training remained limited, the first edition was designed to provide foundational computer literacy and ICT exposure to youth and students in the constituency.

With an initial cohort of 200 students, 

The curriculum focused on:

✓Basic Computer Operation

✓Microsoft Office ✓Productivity Tools

✓Internet Usage and Online Safety

✓Introduction to Web Development 

etc.

For many students, this was their first encounter with structured ICT education. The enthusiasm was palpable, and success stories began to emerge almost immediately. Participants acquired new confidence, secured basic IT related tasks and even began freelancing online.

2nd Edition

The second installment of the training program took place in the year 2024, expanding in scale and depth.

This time over 300 students enrolled drawn from more diverse backgrounds. The curriculum was broadened to include more advance topics.

Participants were engaged in project-based learning, team collaborations, and mentorship sessions with industry professionals.

3rd Edition

The third edition, held in the year 2025 was the most ambitious With over 1000 students and Youth that enrolled, this edition placed a strong emphasis on real-world readiness and technical specialization.

New offerings included:

✓Web Application Development

✓Excel Proficiency

✓Cybersecurity Awareness 

etc.

More than 1500 young constituents have passed through the program, gaining skills that are tangible, marketable and future proof. 

Many have gone on to:

Secure paid internships

Freelance on global platforms

Mentor new cohorts of students.

Prof Nnamchi in one of his interviews during graduation ceremony of the program said that the initiative is not about statistics it an impact beyond numbers because many lives were changed, dreams ignited and communities empowered.

“Technology is no longer a luxury, it’s a gateway to opportunities,"said Prof. Nnamchi.

“I embarked on this initiative because our youth deserve access to world class ICT education.

The program has become a model for public and private collaboration in skill development, attracting partnerships with tech hubs, NGOs and industry leaders.

Plans are already underway for the fourth edition, with even more advanced learning tracks, certification, opportunities and partnerships that will expand beyond the constituency, possibly state wide.
