In a time when youth frustration, unemployment, and social division continue to rise, it has become more important than ever to create opportunities that empower young people and guide their energy into positive pathways.

The Arche Origo Gaming Tournament was created by Mr. Chimdiegwu David Chukwuemeka to be that one solution, a modern innovative strategy designed to reduce violent extremism, unite young people under a shared purpose and champion gaming as a respected skill national and international.

Mr. Chimdiegwu David Chukwuemeka was one of the many participants during the 2025 Enugu Tech Fest organized by the Enugu State Government who happened to draw inspiration from the 2025 Enugu Hackaton activities, he is a Computer Science student at the National Open University Enugu, the youth team lead on peace building and conflict resolution with Parent-Child Intervention Centre, a certified Cyber Security Analyst and is currently occupying the position of the Deputy National Coordinator for the Youths Against Violence Extremism (YAVE) under Partnership Against Violence Extremism (PAVE) funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience with support from Action-Aid Nigeria.

It is an established fact that gaming is one of the fastest-growing cultural movements in the world. It brings people together, challenges the mind, strengthens strategy and builds digital fluency. Yet in many parts of Nigeria, gaming is still dismissed as a distraction rather than recognized for its potential. The Arche Origo Gaming Tournament seeks to change that narrative by providing structure, mentorship and a professional competitive environment.

Reducing Violent Extremism Through Arche Tournaments and Games

According to Mr. Chimdiegwu it's a concern that violent extremism takes root where opportunities are limited and young people feel invisible or disconnected as many Nigerian youths lack positive communities, constructive activities or accessible platforms to express ambition and creativity.

He has developed the Arche Origo Tournament and Games to address these issues by offering:

-A structured alternative to negative influences.

-A community that values discipline, fairness, and self-improvement.

-A platform where competition replaces conflict.

-A social network that reduces isolation and vulnerability.

According to him, when young people are engaged in meaningful digital activities, they are far less likely to be drawn toward violence, crime or extremist ideologies. Gaming keeps the mind active, focused and goal-driven and when supported by a community can become a powerful tool for prevention.

Arche Origo Uniting Youths Under One Positive Goal

Nigerian youths are diverse, energetic and full of potential but they often lack opportunities to collaborate or connect beyond their usual circles. Arche Origo Games breaks those walls. It will bring young people together regardless of tribe, religion, background or social class.

According to Mr. Chimdiegwu, Arche Origo creates an environment where:

-Friendships form naturally

-Competition is healthy and respectful

-Teamwork and communication improves

-Youths feel valued, supported, and heard

This shared purpose fosters unity and understanding, creating a more peaceful and cooperative generation.

Building a Society Where Gaming is Respected

Worldwide, gaming has become a professional industry, one that pays, inspires creativity and offers global opportunities. Esports athletes today are treated like real competitors, and gaming events attract millions of viewers.

The Arche Origo Tournament aims to bring that same recognition to Nigeria and Africa by:

-Highlighting gaming as a genuine skill and career path

-Creating opportunities for earning, sponsorship and recognition

-Teaching discipline, strategy, leadership and digital literacy

-Showing parents and communities the real value in gaming

-Positioning youths for future roles in Esports, game design, streaming, content creation and event management

Mr. Chimdiegwu reaffirmed that Arche Origo Games and Tournament is a new path for the Nigerian Youths because it is more than a gaming event, it is astructured movement for peace, unity and empowerment.

With the outcome of reduction of violent extremism, Creating new career opportunities and empowering a new generation.

Conclusively, He reaffirmed that it represents a vision where young people are not left behind, but guided into a future where their passions can uplift them.

Mr. Chimdiegwu David Chukwuemeka uses this opportunity to call for sponsorship and partnership from individuals and cooperate organizations.
