The Enugu West Senatorial District stands at a defining crossroads, demanding a departure from the monotonous era of overnight politicians whose only interest of serving in the Senate is primitive accumulation of wealth. There is an urgent need for a leader with an unblemished pedigree, unmatched capacity, and a proven track record. We are talking about a leader who can WIN—a leader who can win for Enugu West, a leader who can win for Ndigbo, a leader who can win for Nigeria. That figure is Dr. SKC Ogbonnia.

Early Activism: Before turning 20, he was already established as a trade union activist, serving as Secretary at a NUPENG branch within the NNPC, where he demonstrated an early dedication to workers' rights and structural accountability.

His activism is global. While in the United States of America, Dr. SKC Ogbonnia had remained a Diaspora Titan. He had served in prestigious leadership positions, including Secretary General of the Nigerian Union Diaspora, President of Awgu County USA, President of Greater Awgu Leadership Forum (GALF), Secretary General of Wawa Nation USA, and President Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Houston, where his mix of intellect and altruism always came to bear. 

Intellectual & Industrial Giant: Dr. Ogbonnia holds a First Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters degrees in Sociology and Public Administration, a PhD in Leadership, and advanced training in Law. As the Chairman of First Texas Energy Corporation, he manages a multinational energy company with interests across Africa, Europe, Asia, and America. He is a frequent speaker in the Oil & Gas circuit and has written extensively in the area. These experiences explain why Dr. Ogbonnia is highly sought after as an Adjunct Professor of leadership by many American universities. 

The man with a BIG pen: This son of Enugu West is also a renowned Author and erudite writer. Ogbonnia’s pen will be handy in pushing his visions and crafting important legislations at the Senate. In his book, Effective Leadership Formula, SKC profoundly analyzes Nigeria’s endemic problems and provides actionable, expert solutions. His writings on leadership appear in many newspapers locally and internationally.

He recently left the same ruling party, citing the "failed governance" and "existential threat" posed by current TInubu leadership.

Family & Integrity: A native of Ugbo in Awgu, he is married to Dr. Nneka Ogbonnia, and they are blessed with four children who are excelling in their respective global careers.
