NASS Aspirant Seeks End To Perennial Flooding In Anambra
Nwokedi

House of Representatives aspirant for Ogbaru Federal Constituency Dr Chris Obiajulu Onyekachukwu Nwokedi had announced that the perennial flooding in the area would come to an end if elected in the coming general elections.

Nwokedi who made his declaration under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) noted that the Federal government has all that it takes to checkmate flooding but blamed the failure on what he called bad representation of the area in the past .

He noted that he has a full proof blueprint aimed at putting an end to the natural disaster if given the opportunity to serve.

Nwokedi promised to serve for one term adding that if the electorates are certified with his performance, they are those to decide if he would go for a second term.

"We are aware that the duty is that of the Federal government but our successive Representatives have failed to take advantage of that and if elected I would put an end to it " he said.

“No candidate wants to stay less than eight years, but I am asking for one tenure first to show Ndi Ogbaru what good governance is all about. If I do well, I can seek another term.

“Ogbaru constituents look as if they don’t have a representative at the National Assembly. I want to go and bring home Ogbaru’s share,” he said.

He also linked poor access to quality healthcare and schools in Ogbaru to what he called “bad representation” by former lawmakers, pledging to address the gaps through collaboration with the Anambra State Government.

Ogbaru LGA APGA Chairman, Pastor Onochie Obiora, described Nwokedi as a “staunch party member for the past 20 years,” noting that this is his third attempt at the House of Representatives seat.

“He is one of us, and that is why we are all here to give him support. The party at the grassroots level values consistency, not moving from one party to another,” Obiora said.
