NDC Announces Dr. SKC Ogbonnia As Enugu State Leader

The leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State has formally announced Dr. SKC Ogbonnia as the Leader of the party in the state

The State Chairman of the party, Dr. Johnpaul Anih, made the announcement on Saturday during the 7th State Working Committee (SWC) meeting of the party held in Enugu.

According to Dr. Anih, Dr. SKC Ogbonnia remains a cherished and highly esteemed member of the NDC whose contributions to the growth, stability and advancement of the party in Enugu State cannot be overlooked.

He described Dr. Ogbonnia as a distinguished statesman, an accomplished professional and a committed stakeholder whose wealth of experience, intellectual depth and unwavering commitment to democratic ideals have continued to enrich the party.

Dr. Anih noted that the decision to formally recognise Dr. Ogbonnia as the Enugu State Leader was a reflection of the party’s appreciation of his stature, experience and invaluable contributions to the political development of the state.

"Dr. SKC Ogbonnia remains our leader in Enugu State. He is a man of immense intellectual capacity, remarkable political sagacity and unquestionable pedigree. His contributions to the NDC and his commitment to the ideals upon which our party was founded are deeply appreciated,” Dr. Anih stated.

The NDC Chairman further emphasised that the party’s leadership would continue to accord due respect and recognition to its founding members, elders and other stakeholders who have demonstrated fidelity to the party and contributed meaningfully to its consolidation.

He said the recognition of Dr. Ogbonnia was also in keeping with the party’s commitment to strengthening its internal cohesion, fostering mutual respect among its various organs and building a formidable political structure ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Dr. Anih called on all members and supporters of the NDC in Enugu State to rally around the leadership of the party, remain steadfast and place the collective interest of the party above individual considerations.

He expressed confidence that with the support of its leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members, the NDC would continue to expand its political footprint in the state and emerge as a formidable force in the elections ahead.
