Over 1,000 Students Set to Graduate From Nnamchi’s Tech Hub Programme

More than 1,000 secondary school students from Enugu East and Isi-Uzo Local Government Areas of Enugu State are set to graduate from the annual Professor Paul Nnamchi Tech-Hub and Youth Innovation (PPNTAYI) computer training programme.

The passing-out ceremony for the 2026 edition of the programme, sponsored by the member representing Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi, will take place across four centres from Thursday, September 17 to Sunday, September 20, 2026.

The programme is designed to expose secondary school students in the constituency to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and equip them with relevant digital skills at an early stage.

According to the programme of events released by the training coordinator, Engr. Igwe Daniel Nwachukwu, and approved by Prof. Nnamchi, the first ceremony will hold on Thursday, September 17, at Queen of Peace Parish, Ndorommiri, at 1:00 p.m.

The event will continue on Friday, September 18, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Emene, also at 1:00 p.m.

The Queen of the Rosary Parish, Ogwuagor centre, will host the third ceremony on Saturday, September 19, while St. Theresa’s Parish, Phase 6, Trans-Ekulu, will host the final ceremony on Sunday, September 20.

Nwachukwu said more than 1,000 students who participated in the training are expected to attend the ceremonies alongside their parents and guardians.

He disclosed that the events would feature students’ recitations, cultural displays, presentation of prizes and the award of certificates to successful participants.

The PPNTAYI programme was initiated by Prof. Nnamchi to provide secondary school students with early exposure to computer education and digital technology.

The initiative initially covered students in Enugu East Local Government Area before Nnamchi’s election to the House of Representatives in 2023, where he emerged as the representative of the enlarged Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency.

Following his election, the programme was expanded to include students from Isi-Uzo, thereby widening its reach across the two local government areas that make up the constituency.

Since its expansion, the programme has continued to provide ICT training opportunities to a growing number of young people in the constituency, with the organisers describing it as a pathway for students to acquire digital knowledge and skills relevant to the modern economy.
