Group Raises N400 Million For Medical Assistance In South East

A South East based Charity organization has raised the sum of N400 million to provide medical assistance to the less privileged members of the geopolitical zone.

The body known as Philanthropic Family made up of successful business men the area also resolved to deliver one of their own an a frontline Anambra South Senatorial District aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA Chief Ebuka Onunkwo.

The resolve was made during a charitable initiative where the group visited hospitals to offset medical bills for indigent patients and provided palliative funds to support them.

Speaking at the event, the group’s leader, High Chief Dr. Sir Darlington Nwabunike, lauded Chief Onunkwo for his outstanding achievements in business, manufacturing, and human capital development. 

He highlighted Onunkwo’s role as Chairman of the Commanders Council, the group’s influential core, describing him as a visionary leader with the capacity to drive transformative change in Anambra South. Nwabunike called on the people of Anambra South to support Onunkwo in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primaries and the general election, emphasizing Chief Onunkwo's commitment to the zone’s progress.

In a remarkable act of philanthropy, the members who initially planned to carry out the charity works with the sum of 50 Million Naira contributed a total sum of 400Million for the hospital visitation project.

The funds are earmarked to be used to clear medical expenses and provide financial relief to underprivileged patients across various healthcare facilities in Anambra and other parts of igboland.

The donation put smiles on the faces of several patients and their families who in turn expressed appreciation and offered prayers to the elite members of the prestigious club.
