Insecurity: NYCN restates call for state police
Atigwe also urged President President Bola Tinubu to hasten up return to Regional Governments and full funding of Regional Commissions to reduce unemployment
The south east chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, has re-echoed the calls for approval of State Police to effectively combat insecurity in the Zone and the Country at large.

The South East Vice President of NYCN, Comrade Dr Atigwe Henry Ifeanyi made the call at the NYCN Zonal Office in Enugu while reacting to issues of National concern.
Comrade Dr Atigwe called on the South East Governor's to rise up to their challenges and protect their people against external inversion.
He further appreciated the South East Governor's for their efforts in establishing forest guards and Neighbourhood Watch groups across the Zone and urged them to put in more energy in maintaining them for optimal performance amidst rising security challenges across the Country.
Dr Atigwe also applauded the Youths of South East for the matured way they behaved after the judgement of the Court that sentenced Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and urged them to be prayerful as his legal theme are rounding up their motion for appeal against the judgement as he calls for political solution and Presidential pardon to end his ordeal.
On the issues of rising unemployment and hardship in the land, the Vice President challenged the Governor's to put in more energy in job creation instead of 2027 general election campaign which he said has beclouded some of their minds as he urged the Youths to get ready in voting out non performing leaders in 2027 general election for they are the deciding factor of the upcoming elections in Nigeria.
Reacting to social media attacks on the leaders and government, Dr Atigwe charged the Youths to engage in constructive criticism instead of social media abuse that Will end up vomiting some of them to prison due to the recent cyber crime law that has come to stay.
